The bracket that holds the Bike Case rattles is very poor ir allows the case to rattle all over the place on anything but smooth roads. Go over a reasonable bump and it sounds like the unit will rip itself free. If you have that backup battery be prepared for the unit to thrash around in quite alarming way. Definitely not to be used on a mountain bike!. The bracket needs to be redesigned. The window material used on the case scratches very easily and if you have a screen protector on your phone already the phone's touch capabilities are almost gone. very annoying.

As a road bike racing enthusiast, about a month ago I have purchased a "Wahoo Fitness Bike Case for iPhone with Speed and Cadence". I was looking forward to it as I found the reviews quite promising and I thought it would be quite useful to have speed, cadence and GPS position all in one, without the need of extra gadgets or connection to a PC.I have received it and installed it immediately. First of all I had to realize that there wasn't a user manual with the sensor, just a quick start guide. So I went on YouTube and found some videos of people installing it. I found it also really hard to make it connect to your utility applications, but even so, managed to do so (I'll come to this later).An important thing I have noticed while installing it, was the mounting bracket, which I thought was a bit flimsy. The case on the other hand is quite neat and one can see that a lot of thought has been put into it (a very big plus and kudos on the case and the ease of installing the phone into the case). Also I was disappointed to realize that the battery on the iPhone drains quite fast if the screen is always on. This prompted me to get an auxiliary battery since my spins are usually longer than 2 hours (which is fine with a charged iPhone battery). Anyway, I have found that with the added battery, the bracket was unable to withstand the vibrations on some of the secondary road and the case would be shaking alarmingly (not to mention that it would tilt to one side). Another thing I have noticed is that with attaching the battery the whole device would be really heavy. Weight is so important in road racing and I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. People are spending thousands of euros just to bring the bike frame weight couple of hundred grams lower and then I'm supposed to add this thing to my bike? Did not check it, but it must weight at least 300g. A big negative point.On a different note, after a couple of cycles the sensor stopped working. I have changed the battery, checked the connections with the ANT+ cleaned everything and still there was nothing happening. This pretty much was the last drop and I have decided to return the product.Conclusion: Decided to go for a specially built cycle computer which offers a small package for same features.

great bit of kit ...BUT, extreme caution needed for off-road mountain biking. I've had the iPhone fall out of the mounting bracket on several occasions only to be rescued by headphone cable. last weekend with no headphones I lost iPhone. Luckily able to retrieve thanks to some honest Polish mushroom pickers and the amazing "find my iPhone" app. second negative is that the transparent window is not very durable or scratch resistant, so have had to replace after less than 6 months.would be a 5* review if not for these important deficiencies
