I rated this product with 5 stars, because once it is up it is golden. Optically, having all your bikes up off the floor is a good thing but stay realistic about your space savings. You are not going to create space with this product so don't put it TOO close to a wall if you want to get the bikes down on the back side. I mounted this rack in a wide hallway in my apartment, and suddenly my wife stopped complaining about all my bikes being in the apartment. Fellas, you know what I am sayin' here. Ladies, no offense.Setup:Setup does take time, so don't budget only 15 minutes, and it is not 100% simple. It is not hard either, so don't worry. If it were not so configurable I bet you would never get four bikes up on one rack. You will want to make sure that you have a ratchet set with hex bits. Using the tool provided is a lot of cranking and not an option - trust me. I used my P-handle Hex wrench, which is why I recommend the ratchet. To get the height perfectly adjusted before you do fine tuning you will likely have to unscrew at least once. Perhaps you will have to unscrew more times if you need to free up holes for adjusting the individual racks because the handlebars of one bike are not fitting with the bike on the other side, and it is hard to guess this before you start mounting it all up. It depends on your bikes. Flat bars with bar ends and brake levers are not going through the wheel on the other side. Here is the trick. You can angle the bikes slightly (this test phase is where you want that ratchet.) The only time you may consider keeping the bikes level is if you only use the 2 bike configuration. You have to make some decisions on where to place the bike rack kits so that you can use both sides, and I would suggest getting someone who can hold the bikes or someone who can help you choose where and how to place the racks while you hold the bikes.Once you are done with the setup, you will get excellent good service from this rack. Personally I think this design has to be more stable than a free standing model since it braces against the floor and ceiling. Once you start stacking the bikes, you will want it solid...at least I do.

Lovely storage solution and beautifully made. Total waste of time and effort though as not all parts required to complete the build were included.
