Bought one of these for my regular commute through the countryside in the dark (leave in the dark, get back in the dark, I hate winter!).This is without doubt the brightest light I've ever seen. It's like having a car headlight strapped to the bike. For this alone I have given it 5*.However, all this brightness has a two drawbacks; battery life and glare. The battery is emptied in one hour at full brightness, which is fine for my commute. This would be a bit of an issue if you're doing an all-nighter, for which you'd need an external battery source. I'm not sure that Exposure do this.The one issue is the amount of glare for oncoming car drivers. There's no dipping functionality and the beam is circular, so you have to manually twist the bars downwards to 'dip' the light. That's quite feasible for my folding bike with straight bars and bar-ends, but out of the question for drops.The flashing feature is fantastic. Even the most distracted of gormless pedestrians stuck in their iPod universe or on the phone will see the fantastically bright flashing light coming at them. Brilliant in London.There are some drawbacks, but, as I said, I've given it 5* for the brightness. * Need to spend another £20 on a handlebar mount * It's circa £180 (but well worth it IMHO) * The beam is circular, so is incredibly bright for oncoming vehicles * Lack of accessories; a remote switch would be great, as well as a remote battery.I've no regrets in buying it and my bike ride is so much better. Now to find a decent hat.
